On Wednesday, October 23, we invite you to an exceptional dinner at Villa Licata, in partnership with the renowned Tuscan wine estate Avignonesi. This estate, led since 2007 by the Belgian Virginie Saverys, is a pioneer in biodynamic viticulture. For this special event, we will have the honor of welcoming Basile Aloy, Virginie's son and the operational director of Avignonesi.
Chef Philippe Lowette of Bistro Philippe, awarded a score of 14/20 by Gault&Millau, will craft an exclusive tasting menu that perfectly complements the exceptional wines of Avignonesi. Immerse yourself in an evening of culinary and oenological discoveries in the refined setting of Villa Licata.
Avignonesi
Located in Montepulciano and named after a noble family from the region, Avignonesi has been the largest certified organic and biodynamic estate in Italy since its acquisition by Virginie Saverys in 2009. Virginie has implemented a rigorous ecological approach, excluding the use of synthetic pesticides and any industrial additives. She has also revamped winemaking techniques to minimize intervention in the cellar, thereby enhancing the natural characteristics of the grapes.
This philosophy has transformed the style of Avignonesi wines, with a preference for freshness, fruit concentration, and elegance. The estate is famous for its DOCG Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes since 2010. It also produces a range of wines from international grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Merlot.
