On Thursday 14 March, Licata Vini invites none other than Giovanni Mazzei to introduce you to the wines of Castello di Fonterutoli. Chef Philippe Lowette of Bistro Philippe (Gault&Millau - 14/20) will bring the evening to a culinary climax.
Sangiovese and merlot meet in Fonterutoli's modern IGPs ‘Siepi’ and ‘Badiola’. But the main focus, of course, is on the autochthonous grape sangiovese, led by the Chianti Classico ‘Fonterutoli’ and riserva ‘Castello Fonterutoli’. The latter is the flagship and received the new and highest award ‘Gran Selezione’ in 2014 (from the 2010 vintage).
